Qwo Cellulite Treatment

Qwo Cellulite Treatment

Body contouring is one of the biggest trends in the aesthetic enhancement industry over the years. And while surgical procedures like the Brazilian butt lift or liposuction tend to get the most fanfare, the fact is that we have seen quite a strong rise in popularity amongst non-invasive and minimally invasive treatment modalities to help patients achieve the thinner, trimmer, more streamlined body they’ve always wanted. According to Dr. V and his team at At Home Botox, known for the best at-home Botox treatments, NYC has to offer, one of the latest innovations in body contouring that everyone seems to be raving about has got to be the Two Cellulite Treatment, by Endo Aesthetics.

WHAT IS QWO CELLULITE REMOVAL?

A noninvasive method of body contouring Qwo is an innovative injectable method of cellulite reduction. Slowly becoming a favorite amongst women, and even some men, across NYC, Qwo is available by prescription and can help patients to reduce (not completely remove!) the appearance of unwanted cellulite and fatty tissue buildup, along different areas of the body including the buttocks, hips, thighs and more! Despite being relatively new, the procedure has been tabbed for its effectiveness, and the minimal side effects, risks, and downtime. In this article, we will be exploring this procedure and helping you identify if it’s right for you.

HOW DOES QWO WORK?

The Qwo cellulite treatment is considered by many scientists and researchers in aesthetic medicine to be somewhat of a breakthrough, as it utilizes a fairly complicated and highly involved mechanism of action, and high-level reactions taking place on the skin – all in a simply injectable treatment! Qwo has been proven to effectively treat patients with moderate to severe cellulite issues. Qwo uses a specialized enzyme, known as collagenases, which is known to target the structural makeup of fibrous bands of connective tissue and fatty cells, beneath the skin’s surface. This enzyme works using a three-step mechanism of action,
It starts by releasing fibrous bands that make up the tissue.
Then it works to redistribute fatty tissue and cells in the area.
And finally, it helps by stimulating the growth of new collagen cells. This is important, as collagen is commonly lost as we age, causing the breakdown of our skin’s shape, volume, and overall elasticity.

Once injected into the treatment area, where the cellulite buildup is present, Qwo causes a specialized enzymatic reaction that takes place beneath the skin, to break down the fatty tissue cells causing them to be destructured and no longer stable. Once they are broken down, the cellulite tissue is then redistributed and removed from the area. This leaves somewhat of a void where those former cells were living. By stimulating the production of fresh collagen in the area, the Qwo treatment will help to build up new connective tissue, and fibrous bands. Essentially this is because collagen is such a vital skincare protein, that is the building block for new connective tissue and skin cells – it slowly will build back the area, with fresh, new, cellulite-free tissue. It’s important to understand that this process does take time, and won’t happen immediately after treatment. In addition, it will likely take a few different sessions to get the level of cellulite reduction you desire. But this is all dependent on the patient, as well as their doctor.

SIDE EFFECTS & DOWNTIME

One of the best parts of this being a non-invasive injectable procedure is that it can be done quickly and effectively with minimal downtime, risks, or side effects! Most patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the procedure is done. In some cases, patients may experience some minor side effects, specifically along with the injection site(s) – mild cases of bruising, light pain, tough skin, itching, redness, minor skin discoloration, swelling, and warmth in the treatment area have all been reported. however, these issues will usually subside within a day or two of treatment, plus they are very mild compared to a more invasive method of cellulite removal.
